Taxes, it is that time of year …
“When it comes to complex tax issues, like buying and selling assets, major life changes and running full-blown businesses, you are apt to end up with a more accurate tax return when you consult a tax professional.

However, for routine tax returns, where your financial activities are the same year after year, online filing and boxed software is heaven-sent. The questions are designed to jog your memory about things like additions to your family, IRA contributions, ages of family members and sales of stocks. You’ll find help tools in the programs, or you can reach help centers during tax season — though it might take up to 48 hours to get responses……” Taxes, Personal Finance

Home Valuation Real Estate

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

Real Estate News- web 2.0 technology, You vote on the value of the home…from Techcrunch...”My Currency derives its housing valuations from the marketplace of user opinions by having them assess properties as over or undervalued along with the strength of their conviction. For instance, if I feel a house in San Francisco for 11 million dollars is overpriced, I vote for what lower price I think is right as well as how strongly I feel that on a 1-10 scale. The conviction of my choice and the accuracy of my past votes play into how much I can affect the valuation and price trend of the home. Home listings are a bit sparse at the moment, and rely on self listing…….Home Valuation

Like everyone we have too many passwords to keep up with. We have used the password manager in Firefox, but we have lost those passwords several times. We have also tried the Norton Password Manager, but it does not seem to work with Firefox. Our new favorite password manager is KeePass Password Safe.

Did we mention that it is completely free?

KeePass only took a few minutes to download and install. So far it is working with both IE and Firefox. We would recommend KeePass password manager. Let us know your favorite online free tools that you use to get things done or more organized. We will update this Post in the next few mos to let you know if we continued using these tools. Check back for an update when we post our 30 Boxes Calendar to share with our friends.
